What happens when the stand builder is also the client.

Designing a stand for a client starts with their brief. Designing one for ourselves started with an argument — which is exactly what a good internal project should do.

We settled on a stand that demonstrates rather than describes: material samples you can pick up, joinery details left visible, print finishes side by side. The headline promise reads from the aisle; the proof is at arm’s length.

The project also stress-tested our own processes with us as the client. Some deadlines are easier to set than to meet — a useful thing for a stand builder to be reminded of, annually.
